ReelMeister exceeds factory recommended maintenance schedules by cleaning reel parts in a professional ultrasonic cleaning bath that removes dirt and grit and minor corrosion which grinds away at bearings, bushings and gears. No other process can achieve such a dramatic result.Reels are then greased and oiled using only the most advanced lubricants. Finally each reel is carefully reassembled and tuned to achieve maximum casting distance and freespool. Customers often comment on how their reel feels "better than new" after being serviced by ReelMeister due the extraordinary care taken in proper tuning and lubrication during service.

Examples of minor parts are drag washers, bushings, level wind worm gear/pawl, or most bearings. Also includes upgrades in these parts; for example installation of a power handle or switching out factory bearings for ABEC-7 or ceramic bearings .

Examples are replacement of springs, gears, clickers, certain bearings, antireverse, "Exploded" Reels, yokes, and certain cosmetic parts. Also includes gear material/gear ratio upgrades, and frame or sideplate related upgrades.Reels that contain sand or are corroded also fall into this category due to the extra labor involved to clean them.

Complete Refurbishment

Labor rates begin at $34.50 for this service.

ReelMeister is ready to completely refurbish reels that you own and would like to continue to use for years to come. Pricing structure is on a case by case basis determined by parts availability and the replacement value of the reel. Often customers are ready to retire an older Ambassadeur and place it in their collection. Refurbishing a reel mechanically and cosmetically adds to the value of the reel and can make it worth passing on to the next generation of fishing enthusiasts.
